Kandi Hill-Clarke, Ed.D., is former dean of the College of Education at the University of Memphis where she is currently serving as provost fellow for Faculty Affairs & Leadership Development. Under Hill-Clarke’s leadership as dean, the College of Education experienced enrollment growth, as well as significant increases in donor engagement and philanthropic support, faculty research and grant productivity, including increases in state and national rankings, and developed new academic programs and certificates with a focus on student success. Additionally, under Hill-Clarke’s leadership, the College of Education consistently met or exceeded expectations on the Tennessee Educator Preparation Report Card, successfully achieved national accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation and was named as a Grow Your Own Center for Teacher Apprenticeships by the Tennessee Department of Education.  Prior to joining the University of Memphis, Hill-Clarke served as dean of the Bayh College of Education at Indiana State University and as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs with the Tennessee Board of Regents.
