Designing a Syllabus Using Generative AI Webinar Slides Need to update or design a syllabus? Using artificial intelligence (AI) may be a good option to assist with this task. In this session, we will explore how to develop an effective, standards-based syllabus. We will also discuss potential limitations related to using this emerging technology for syllabus creation. By the end of the session, participants will be able to do the following: recognize how AI can be used to create a standards-aligned syllabus; demonstrate how AI can streamline and optimize the syllabus creation process; evaluate the pros and cons of using AI to develop a syllabus. Chair/Associate Professor Alternative Programs and University Partnerships Graduate School of Education Touro University Member, AACTE’s Committee on Innovation & Technology Laurie Bobley, Ed.D. is the chair of Alternative Programs and University Partnerships in the Graduate School of Education at Touro University New York. She has over 14 years of experience in higher education and has taught courses in science education, educational technology, and special education. Before transitioning into higher education, Bobley was a middle and high school science teacher. Previously at Touro, Bobley has served as the director of GSE Online Education and has taught science and technology methods courses in the Graduate School of Education. She is a site visitor for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP).
