Why: Lately we seem to be bombarded with the message – from the news media, the halls of Congress, even the latest best sellers – that our education system is in a state of tremendous flux. Teacher turnover, the global economy, teacher recruitment, hip-hop in the classroom, literacy skills, workforce skills, the state of Louisiana schools after the Katrina catastrophe and technology in the classroom – how do each of these impact us, education programs, and our communities? Find out how colleges of education are contributing to the solutions for these important issues.
