Internationalization

To internationalize teacher education means to equip all pre-service teachers with the knowledge and skills essential for success in an interconnected, diverse society. Modern educator preparation programs must incorporate global perspectives, cross-cultural competencies, and diverse educational practices into the training and professional development of these educators.

AACTE’s Global Education Faculty (PLC) provides a peer support network and professional development to faculty at comprehensive teacher preparation programs to effectively integrate global teaching competencies within their curriculum and practices.
