Well-designed rubrics communicate expectations, facilitate self-evaluation, and help streamline grading. However, creating a detailed and concise rubric can be time-consuming. This Lunch and Learn session will examine how to utilize AI to efficiently develop robust rubrics. We will also explore an AI-powered rubric builder. Chair/Associate Professor Alternative Programs and University Partnerships Graduate School of Education Touro University Bobley serves as chair of alternative Certification Programs and University Partnerships in the Graduate School of Education at Touro University, New York. Prior to transitioning into higher education, she was a middle and high school science teacher. Her career at Touro began as a faculty member, but her proficiency with instructional technology led to her appointment to the position of director of GSE (Graduate School of Education) Online Education. She is passionate about ensuring that all teachers have the skills, competencies, and knowledge they need to impact student learning. Her research interests include teacher education, distance education, faculty development, and leadership.
