AACTE accepts advertisements of interest to our members in various media. We offer four primary advertising outlets: the online Career Center (for position vacancies), the blog Ed Prep Matters, the Journal of Teacher Education, and AACTE convening activities.

Audience

For position vacancies, AACTE’s self-service online Career Center is the best place to begin. Designed to help connect individuals with new employment opportunities, the Career Center gives job seekers and employers/recruiters alike access to our specialized niche of professionals. The most likely audience to access the site is teacher educators, but the site is open to the public so anyone may use it. The Career Center is operated on AACTE’s behalf by Job Target.

Advertising Rates

Use of the Career Center is free for job seekers. Advertisers may choose from two options for posting: 30 or 60 days. When making your purchase, you have the option to pay online with a credit card or to be invoiced. How to Place Advertisements

First, click on the Career Center link and create an account. Log in and follow the relevant links to manage your online recruiting account, post jobs or your resume to the site, browse resumes for potential candidates, or view job offers from employers. Contact Customer Service for assistance.

Audience

AACTE’s blog Ed Prep Matters is publicly accessible but primarily visited by administrators and faculty at AACTE member institutions. A summary of recent posts is sent each Tuesday to approximately 18,000 member contacts via e-mail, making views peak midweek.

Advertising Information

Ed Prep Matters accepts advertising on its home page, http://edprepmatters.net, in posts, and in its weekly e-mail message. Ads are run as banners or in a sidebar tile that cycles through up to five ads (including AACTE content) at any given time, displaying each for a 5-second interval. Requests for ads are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to AACTE’s editorial discretion. Appropriate content might include promotions of conferences, publications, or services relevant to AACTE members. Position vacancy ads are also accepted.

Blog ads are sold in 30-day increments and can begin running on any day. They may include an image and/or brief text, including a hyperlinked button leading to more information. This button may link to content already posted elsewhere online, or AACTE can host the content as a PDF for an additional fee.

Audience

The Journal of Teacher Education (JTE) has been a leading voice in the field of teacher education for over 60 years and is one of the most widely read professional journals in the field. The JTE’s 5 peer-reviewed issues per volume year contain thematic and general-interest articles as well as editorials and book reviews. Its content focuses on policy, practice, and research that contribute to teacher education as a field of inquiry along a variety of themes, including accreditation, assessment and evaluation, extended programs, teacher education faculty, student teaching, and others.

The Journal is provided as a membership service to institutional representatives of AACTE in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. It is also purchased by libraries and individual subscribers in the U.S. and around the world. The Journal is indexed in Contents Pages in Education, Current Contents/Social & Behavioral Sciences, Current Index to Journals in Education, Education Index, International Bibliography of Periodical Literature, and TOPICsearch.
