Chicago, IL (February 6, 2009) The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) has chosen a book by Daniel Koretz to receive the 2009 Outstanding Book Award. Koretz will receive the award for Measuring Up: What Educational Testing Really Tells Us, published by Harvard University Press, on Saturday, February 7, during the Wilbur J. Cohen Lecture at the Association’s 61st Annual Meeting and Exhibits in Chicago, Illinois.

This award, sponsored by the AACTE Committee on Research and Dissemination, recognizes as exemplary books that make a significant contribution to the knowledge base of teacher education or of teaching and learning with implications for teacher education.
