Frank Hernandez serves as the dean of the College of Education and professor of Educational Leadership at Texas Christian University. Previously, Hernandez served as Associate Dean and held the Harold and Annette Simmons Endowed Chair in Educational Policy and Leadership at the Simmons School of Education & Human Development at Southern Methodist University. Hernandez’ research work, including three published books, focuses on Latinos and school leadership, Latino racial identity development, inclusive leadership for LGBTQ students, and leadership for social justice.

Amanda Fuchs Miller

Amanda Fuchs Miller has more than three decades of experience working inside and outside of government. As president of Seventh Street Strategies, Miller works with higher education organizations, nonprofit organizations, and foundations to provide advocacy, policy, oversight, and communications support. Ms. Miller served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Higher Education Programs at the U.S. Department of Education in the Biden-Harris Administration. She previously served in several senior positions in the U.S. Senate and in the Obama and Clinton Administrations. She is an adjunct professor at American University, where she has taught public policy, advocacy, and education policy courses, and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and at The Biden Institute at the University of Delaware.  She graduated with a joint degree from Northwestern University School of Law (J.D.) and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government (M.P.A.) and received her B.A./B.S. from Boston University in political science and journalism.
