Program Overview

History and Governance

Since 1991, the AACTE Holmes Scholars® Program has built a pipeline of education leaders and scholars, reflecting the richness of America’s student population. The program supports master’s, doctoral, and post-doctoral students through mentorship, peer support, and professional development opportunities.

Start a Holmes Program

Every member institution is eligible to join the Holmes Program, starting with an interest call with AACTE. This call allows us to understand your institution’s specific goals and budget for your inaugural cohort.

Whether you’re a faculty member gathering information to present to your dean or your institution already has the support and mandate to move forward.
