Washington, D.C. (February 17, 2010) – Nancy Zimpher, chancellor of the State University of New York (SUNY), will address the need to restructure teacher preparation to improve student learning, at the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) Annual Meeting & Exhibits on Sunday, February 21, in Atlanta.

Zimpher is nationally recognized for leading change in higher education. She currently co-chairs an initiative to transform teaching into a practice-based profession, a redesign that could have far-reaching effects on schools of education.
