Washington, D.C. (February 17, 2010) – The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) will present a major forum on performance assessments for beginning teachers February 21 in Atlanta at its 62nd Annual Meeting & Exhibits.
At issue is the quality of new teachers preparing for licensure. Policy makers and educators agree there is an urgent need to develop a national model for teacher performance assessments, based on best practices and key design principles.
