AACTE Commends Iowa Teacher Sarah Brown Wessling for Receiving Nation’s Top Teaching Honor

WASHINGTON (April 29, 2010) – The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) today commended 2010 National Teacher of the Year Sarah Brown Wessling of Johnston, Iowa for her commitment to strong preservice education, classroom mentoring, and the need to connect with students beyond test scores to ensure real learning in her high school classes.
