Washington, D.C. (February 17, 2010) – The authors of an acclaimed book that outlines a new framework for educational change will be featured speakers at the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) Annual Meeting & Exhibits, February 21, in Atlanta.
Andy Hargreaves and Dennis Shirley, authors of the acclaimed book, The Fourth Way: The Inspiring Future of Educational Change, draw on their firsthand studies of high-performing school systems around the world. They analyze three major change efforts, outline their strengths and limitations and offer a “fourth way” to integrate teacher professionalism, community engagement, government policy and accountability. Education leaders have described their vision as a catalyst in a field that badly needs guidance.
