Washington, D.C. (February 17, 2010) – Some two-thirds of U.S. teachers say their voices have not been adequately heard in the debate on education, according to the 26th annual MetLife Survey of the American Teacher.
AACTE encourages its members to study the results released today, which focus on collaboration among teachers, administrators and students in today’s schools. Today’s report, “Part 1: Effective Teaching and Leadership,” is the first of three based on this year’s survey. A second report on student achievement is expected March 11, and a third on teaching as a career is due in late March.
