Washington, D.C. (February 25, 2009) Dr. Sharon P. Robinson, President and CEO of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) commended MetLife, Inc. today for its concerted and consistent efforts to improve the quality of education in the United States. “For a quarter century, MetLife has queried those observers who have the best possible vantage point on the status and progress of teaching and student learning – teachers, principals, students, and parents,” said Robinson. She pointed out that, among its many education efforts, MetLife has generously shared its annual Survey of the American Teacher reports with educators and policy-makers across the country. “We greatly value these findings,” she said, on the occasion of the release of the most recent report.
