Ed Prep Matters publishes work across six primary categories. Identify the most relevant category when submitting your work.
Empirical studies examining educator preparation programs, outcomes, and innovations. Quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods designs welcome.
Reflective accounts, case studies, and experience-based insights from educators and program leaders in the field.
Critical examinations of local, state, and federal policies shaping the preparation and certification of educators.
Systematic or narrative reviews synthesizing existing scholarship on a focused topic in educator preparation.
Reports on novel programs, technologies, and approaches transforming how educators are prepared and supported.
Timely, evidence-informed perspectives on pressing issues, debates, and emerging questions in the field.
Content Standards
All submissions are reviewed against the following standards. Please review carefully before submitting.

| Citation Style | APA 7th Edition |
| Abstract | 150–250 words; required for research articles |
| Keywords | 4–6 terms that reflect core topics |
| Figures / Tables | Embedded in document; high resolution (300 dpi+) |
| Blind Review | Remove all identifying author information |
| Response Time | Initial decision within 6–8 weeks |
Ethical Requirements

Originality DeclarationWork must not be under review elsewhere or published previously in any form.

No Promotional ContentSubmissions must not primarily serve to promote a specific program, product, or organization.

No Unsupported GeneralizationsAvoid sweeping claims about “all teachers” or “all programs” not supported by evidence.

No Jargon Without DefinitionTechnical or specialized terms must be defined upon first use for a broad scholarly audience.
