Topical Action Group (TAG) Application

Before you complete an application to start a Topical Action Group (TAG), please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • The proposed name of the TAG (this will be the name used in all official references to your group by AACTE for promotional and administrative purposes);
  • The name, institution, address, phone number and e-mail address of the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer of the TAG;
  • A clear, concise statement of purpose for the TAG;
  • One or more intended projects or initiatives that the TAG will undertake in the current or upcoming year; and
  • The name, institution and institutional e-mail addresses of at least 10 intended members of the TAG (in addition to the officers).

Next Steps:

  • All officers named on this application will receive an e-mail from AACTE informing them that they have been named as an officer of this group, and providing instructions for completing the appropriate letter of commitment. The application will be considered complete once this application and all signed letters of commitment from the officers have been received by the staff administrator.
  • The AACTE President will review all TAG applications for approval. The TAG staff administrator will contact you if any further action needs to be taken by the TAG Chair in order to process the application.
  • Once approved, the TAG Chair will be notified by the staff administrator and your TAG will be allotted website space in the AACTE online community. AACTE Policies and Procedures for TAGs are in effect once your TAG is formally established.
  • A Request for Funds form can be submitted with or separate from the TAG application.
