AACTE is available to offer presentations and workshop sessions at your state chapter meetings.
Please indicate which of the following sessions you'd like presented at your meeting.
Each presentation is between 60 – 90 minutes in length. They can be conducted in person or virtually through our webinar platform or Skype
In this session, an AACTE staff representative will update your chapter membership on federal funding, federal policy developments relevant to the profession, and the Administration’s initiatives, particularly the anticipated proposed regulations on teacher preparation. AACTE staff will also outline critical strategies to help your chapter increase its advocacy capacity using resources that AACTE has developed in this area.
This session provides an overview of public relations and the vital role it plays in your state chapters and programs. You will explore topics that include media relations, effective proactive and reactive public relations tactics, crisis communications and the steps to beginning and implementing a strategic public relations plan.
This session takes an in-depth look at working effectively with members of the media. From newspaper reporters to TV producers, you will discover ways to build relationships with the media and/or work through your communications contacts to better advance positive messaging about your programs to the public.
This session provides an overview of policy and professional issues facing the profession, AACTE’s engagement in these issues, and recommendations for how institutions and chapters can position themselves in this changing landscape.
Each session is between 90 – 120 minutes in length. They must be conducted in person as they provide hands on opportunities for members to develop or strengthen their expertise in these areas
