Teacher Preparation Reform: The Case for Federal Investment (Policy Briefing) Download as iCal file
Monday, June 10, 2013, 10:00AM - 11:00AM

Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room 138 (Washington, D.C.)

Over the last few years, the Teacher Quality Partnership (TQP) grants (authorized in Title II of the Higher Education Act) have supported 40 partnerships between institutions of higher education and high-need school districts, significantly overhauling the way they prepare teachers. This briefing will highlight the impact that TQP grantees' work is having on PK-12 student achievement, school culture, teacher quality, and teacher preparation. Join us as a superintendent, college of education dean, new PK-12 teachers, and a cooperating teacher share first-hand experiences as partners and products of the TQP grant program.
