No Child Left Behind

The U.S. Senate HELP Committee recently asked all education stakeholders to submit their recommendations for NCLB reauthorization in the form of legislative language by March 30, 2007. On March 29th, Dr. Sharon Robinson submitted a cover letter and the legislative language recommendations to the Committee. The recommendations address the importance of teachers being adequately prepared and assessed for effectiveness prior to entering the classroom and ensure that Institutions of Higher Education and their divisions of education are partners in federal initiatives to prepare, recruit and retain teachers.
