The Annual Meeting and Exhibits is AACTE's signature event, drawing over 2,400 participants to a comprehensive program of presentations, networking opportunities, and special events. Recognized as a premier source of professional development programs, the Academy for Leadership Development sponsors the New Deans Institute, Leadership Institute for Department Chairs, and other such institutes.

Additional professional development conferences and workshops are scheduled throughout the year, focusing on specific projects, activities, and topics.

A professional development opportunity for teacher educators free of charge!

AACTE in cooperation with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) will host the second Holocaust Institute for Teacher Educators (HITE) in Summer 2008. The Institute will be held at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, in Washington, DC.

Participants will be able to engage with teacher educators throughout the country to share ideas and collaborate on ways to better equip teacher candidates with the content and skills for teaching this material.
