Major Forums to Sharpen Our Vision

You can add two more Major Forums to the list of educational opportunities that will make this conference the must-attend professional event of 2013. Scheduled on consecutive days, these next sessions were developed as a complementary pair to stimulate thought and generate discussion about the future direction of educator preparation.

What role should federal policy play in transforming educator preparation? Panelists will discuss and debate current proposals from Congress and the Obama administration, put forward their own recommendations, and consider the politics driving educator preparation reform.
Presenters: Ron Marx, University of Arizona; Ben Riley, New Schools Venture Fund; Fayneese Miller, University of Vermont; David Steiner, Hunter College of City University of New York
Teacher Preparation Reform: Reports From National Organizations
